讲座题目： Getting Implementation to Fight Algorithmic Collusion

内容提要：Firms are increasingly relying on algorithms to determine prices for their products and services. However, a study by Calvano et al. (2020) reveals that without proper communication or instructions, Artificial Intelligence (Q-learning) can adopt collusive strategies. This has raised concerns among scholars and policymakers regarding the potential for AI to engage in collusion through learning in repeated price competition. In light of this, from an implementation theory perspective we construct a mechanism to deter collusion and improve social welfare.
讲座嘉宾简介：
孙一飞，对外经济贸易大学教授，研究领域集中于博弈论与信息经济学，特别是机制设计与实施理论。研究成果发表在Journal of Political Economy, Journal of Economic Theory, Theoretical Economics，Games and Economic Behavior等学术期刊。获得中国信息经济学会2022年创新成果奖，主持国家自然科学基金青年项目一项（结题评估“特优”），和国家自然科学基金面上项目一项。
